We are so excited that you have chosen AFTLOA as your selected organization to fill your volunteer needs and we cannot wait to meet you!
First and Foremost, as a Volunteer for our organization our goal is not only to provide you with a rewarding experience, but an enriching one. Please know and understand that our organization continues to learn through each experience, continues to make mistakes in certain situations, and continues to take mental notes on a daily basis to better ourselves as an organization. With that being said, we expect the same from our volunteers..
We treat volunteers as friends and family, while not forgetting that said social events represent our organization as a whole, they represent the animals we wish to provide a chance of a lifetime, but are somewhat chaotic. Said events should be handled with great care meaning, we may, at times, correct you or offer our advice in the form of constructive criticism in certain situations if we feel it is necessary and will give you appropriate tasks based on your performance. In return, we simply ask that if at any give time you have any questions or feel uncomfortable in any given situation that you not hesitate to let us know! We want you to ask, we want you to learn, we want you to feel 100% comfortable, we definitely want your feedback in every aspect in order to better our organization, and of course we want you to have a wonderful experience!!!
Included in the Social Event Participation Form are a few additional and main instructions we wish you be aware of and understand fully before you decide to volunteer "hands on" with the animals especially at upcoming public events. These instructions should not be taken lightly, they are the most important to us when taking on a new volunteer, and you must make a mental note of them.
Thank you so much for assisting us in proving these animals with a second chance! Because of amazing people like you, they are given the chance of their lifetime!
Sincerely,
The AFTLOA Family
