"Words can't express how thankful we are to AFTLOA. Their hard work and dedication to the animals is truly inspiring. When they first found Whisper he was in really bad shape - other rescue groups refused to take him in, saying he was on death's door. Not AFTLOA - they spent many months caring for him and giving him the love and affection he so desperately needed. They nursed his poor broken body back to health and taught him that people can be kind. He's an absolutely incredible dog - sweet, loving and very intelligent. He is such a gentle soul and has brought joy to so many people, especially us. Whisper goes to dog training class with Vince each week and helps teach other dogs. Children are drawn to him - they just want to hug and kiss him and he loves the attention. Even children who are terrified of dogs understand that he is kind and loving and he taught them not to be afraid. We thank AFTLOA for saving this wonderful angel and letting him be part of our family. "

" We adopted Sugar in July, 2011, and we couldn't be happier. After submitting our application for adoption, it wasn't too long afterwards that we received an e-mail for us to call All For the Love of Animals Pet Rescue, Inc. Both my husband and I spoke with Sam on several different occasions in regards to the process, transport, and our soon-to-be "baby girl". Samantha was always so pleasant to talk with and helpful with any questions we may have had. It is quite apparent that Samantha and All For the Love of Animals Pet Rescue, Inc. are professional throughout the process. They truly love each and every angel that they have to adopt, and have a huge heart for animals. They try to match each animal with families who are going to give these angels all the love, compassion, and spoiling they deserve. Our pets become a part of the family. Well, I am happy to share that Sugar has become a part of our family, and we love her with all of our hearts and she is loving us right back! "

"Summer of 2008 we began the process of looking to adopt a dog. Our beloved Taj, had died several months before. She was a "Death Row Dog", and was one of the best dogs we had ever owned. We wanted to give another dog, a second chance like our Taj had been given, she had given so much love to us in the years we had her. And for her memory to live on, we knew it was the only thing to do............. We live in NYC, and there are MANY rescues, and shelters, to choose from. The rescues all kept tell me to "get puppy", which is not what we wanted. I found "Free" , now Woody on Petfinder. He looked so sad. I knew he was the one. EVERYONE thought I was insane to adopt sight unseen, but I talked to Sam, and she made everything so EASY. The hardest part was waiting for the time to come to bring him home. He is a great dog, and we are all very happy with how things went. Sam was very truthful about his personality, and I knew Woody would be a addition to our family! Thanks for a great dog! "I found my Balto and Koda as pups listed on petfinder.com contacted Ella and Sam... I found out they were scheduled to leave on a northbound trek up the East Coast to other shelters. Ella and Sam got Balto and Koda off that truck for me!! They took care of the details and let me know where I could pick them up. I am in Georgia...My husband and I drove up to South Carolina to get them. They are the sweetest babes!! Smart too. Koda is so cute.. follows me everywhere. I highly recommend them for getting a rescue. I am a satisfied adopter :)" ~Joy Cauthen -In Loving Memory of Balto <3
"Hi everyone. I have never met such wonderful people as Sam and Ella. After a careful screening and time together they adopted our beautiful boys to us and have been loving and supportive from the moment we met them to this very day. AFTLOA truly cares for and adores the dogs that pass through their care and they approach their work as a calling. Recently, we had the unfortunate situation where our Dory was lost. I was beyond myself. Sam and Ella were a huge part of his rescue effort for a second time and took the situation to heart as if Dory was still their own. I believe that a piece of their hearts goes with each dog they adopt out. I mean this. I have deep respect and admiration for them and would refer anyone looking for a new adoptive family member to them. We are so in love with our boys and are grateful for the experience we had!!!! ~Jennifer Bennington (Toby&Dory's Adoptive Mom)
"Hi Sam, Just letting you know that our Salem dog is such a happy, healthy, wonderful companion to our family. He is truly a gentleman and so much fun to be with. We are so happy he is a part of our family. Salem enjoys walks in the park and vacationing on the beach. His favorite thing to do is chase fiddler crabs on the beach. We love him so much and would like to thank you for everything you do to help these wonderful, loving and sweet puppy dogs find their forever home. Salem is so happy with our family, we thought we were rescuing him, but he actually rescued us. You made it so easy for us to adopt Salem and he is a perfect match! Thank you so much for what you do, we are eternally grateful. " ~Maryann Hooper (Salem's Adoptive Mom)
"Tanner has been with us for three years and not a day goes by that he doesn't make us laugh!! We are extremely grateful to Sam and her family for making this possible. The professional yet loving way in which adoptions are handled is wonderful! Thank you for our angel! "Hi Sam,
Here are some pictures of Smidgen since he has been here
The first one was few days after he arrived and we had company. I am the one in the pink on the left. My son Andy is holding Smidgen, and my husband Ron is standing behind me. On the right is my daughter Amy, holding Bessie. who she rescued from Georgia when she was in school down there. My neice Nancy and her family are in the middle. They visited us from Idaho, and she is the vet I told you about.
The next picture is Smidgen right after he arrived; he was a little confused but jumped right up on the couch and onto my husband's lap and sat there for hours!
The next one is last Friday after he got home from the groomers. They said I was lucky to get him back because they all wanted to take him home.
He is a real blessing to have around the house, and is already our little buddy, He has become very comfortable, and enjoys walking through the woods and down our long driveway, and at the town green.
The other day was his first trip to the beach, I wouldn't let him walk in the sand because I was afraid it would get into his eyes, but he seemed surprised to see all that water and smell all of those new odors!
Take care and thanks for sending Smidgen to us!"
